With the iPhone being unavailable on the Apple Online Store, it does seem like there's a chance it'll be announced on May 13...just a day after the RIM BlackBerry Bold. By stating that it's unavailable, they have in a sense already announced the new iPhone...now we just want the details and availability.

I think it would be smart for them to release a iPhone 1.2 as you put it. That would allow them to focus on the development goodies i.e. the applications at the developers conference. The rest of the goodness could just be applied to already purchased 3G iPhone's as a software update. Then the 1.2 becomes a 2.0 at no extra cost!

Well I have to say I'll be extremely disappointed if they release it this early. I understand how anxious people are willing to get their hands on it, but I think if it were to be released within the next month it would be nothing more than "iPhone 1.2." I'd rather they follow their trend, which is announcing it during WWDC.

On a side note, I'm still praying for a MacBook Pro revision.
