By stating that it's unavailable, they have in a sense already announced the new iPhone...now we just want the details and availability. That would allow them to focus on the development goodies i.e. the applications at the developers conference. The rest of the goodness could just be applied to already purchased 3G iPhone's as a software update. Then the 1.2 becomes a 2.0 at no extra cost! I understand how anxious people are willing to get their hands on it, but I think if it were to be released within the next month it would be nothing more than "iPhone 1.2." I'd rather they follow their trend, which is announcing it during WWDC. On a side note, I'm still praying for a MacBook Pro revision.
